Zürs am Arlberg is one of the most exclusive winter sports resorts in the Alps. Situated at an altitude of almost 1,720 metres, the village is rich in traditions and offers a magnificent mountain backdrop and top conditions for winter sports. The first ski course was held here in 1906; and in 1937 Austria’s first drag lift was constructed. Today all the ski pistes lead right into the centre of the little village and can be reached on foot in just a few minutes. In Zürs you can ski right up to the hotel entrance, and Thurnher’s Alpenhof lies just a few paces from the Hexenboden lift. As a result of the altitude you can rely on finding snow here from the end of November until the end of April. If you prefer to explore on foot, you can walk along a picturesque, idyllic footpath as far as Lech or towards the Flexenpass.
